Legal entitlement for a place in a kindergarten

Children of members of the force and the civilian component who have status under the NATO Status of Forces Agreement have no legal entitlement for a place in a kindergarten.

However, in agreement with the kindergarten providers in the County of Kaiserslautern, these children are welcome to attend a kindergarten subject to the availability of space.

The decision of acceptance of such a child is made by the respective kindergarten provider in consideration of the number of current applications for kindergarten spaces.
